Join us within the body cavity of Terra Solarium for a curated, small-group somatic experience. Facilitated by RW Alves, this 90-minute session uses tools from Somatic Experiencing, yoga therapy, and polyvagal practices to invite the community into a process of exploration and reflection through relationship with the installation.



Participants will explore breath, movement, and interoception to tune into the parallels between the interiority of the body cavity created by the art, the “body cavity” of the earth, and the interiority of our own somatic experiences. We will use the installation’s carmine light saturation and stethoscopic soundscapes as a map for internal exploration and nervous system regulation.



RW Alves, C-IAYT, SEP, E-RYT 500 (she/her and they/them), is a social justice educator, certified yoga therapist, and Somatic Experiencing Practitioner. Her work is informed by her experience as a fat white queer femme with a lifelong involvement in social justice and activism. RW serves as faculty for Off the Mat, Into the World and is a co-founder of Bending Towards Justice. She is passionate about the interconnections between trauma, resilience, and social justice.
