Pyrophile nods to the spiral, the emblem of death and rebirth in the context of fires in the wild. A pyrophile is a plant which requires fire in order to complete their cycle of reproduction. This adaptation of these certain plants means they can out-compete other plants who are destroyed when consumed by fire.
